West Brom's George Thorne made his return fom injury against Newcastle
Newcastle United scored twice in the last 15 minutes to grab a thrilling victory in their Barclays Under-21 Premier League match at The Hawthorns on Monday afternoon.
The Magpies were fielding five players with first-team experience and one of them, Gael Bigirimana, gave them an eighth-minute lead with a 35-yard shot which flew in off the underside of the bar.
Albion hit back quickly and two goals in a minute, both set up by crosses from Bradley Garmston, turned the match on its head. First Garmston centred for Alex Jones to equalise and 60 seconds later he passed to Morgan Ferrier, whose cutback was turned in by Mani O'Sullivan.
Haris Vuckic made it 2-2 in the 25th minute from Rolando Aarons' through-ball but Albion regained their lead before half-time when Ferrier drove a Kemar Roofe pass into the roof of the net.
West Brom looked as though they were going to earn the win which would have taken them off the bottom of the table but Vuckic, another of the players with Barclays Premier League experience, curled in a superb free-kick to equalise in the 75th minute.
And Vuckic was involved again seven minutes later when he pulled the ball back for Adam Armstrong to net his fifth goal in as many Under-21 games to secure all three points for the visitors.

Two Jamie O'Hara strikes, early in each half, helped Wolverhampton Wanderers complete an emphatic victory at Telford's New Buck's Head and stretch their unbeaten sequence to four matches.
The hosts forced the visitors on top the back foot from the start and took the lead with under four minutes on the clock with a goal made and scored by O'Hara. The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder won the ball in his own half and ran down the left before delivering a cross that found Jake Cassidy on the far side of the area. O'Hara kept running and met Cassidy's return ball across the goalmouth with a tidy finish.
Wolves doubled their lead on 19 minutes when Ethan Ebanks-Landell headed in Zei Ismail's right-wing corner, and three minutes into the second half it was 3-0 as O'Hara, who had twice come close to doubling his goal tally in the first period, rifled in a quickly taken free-kick from outside the area.
With four minutes remaining the home side produced a fourth goal as Anthony Forde received a pass from O'Hara before drilling a low shot past goalkeeper John Henley from 25 yards.
A third victory in four matches lifts Wolves up to sixth place in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League table and level on 10 points with Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.
